Trolli Gummi Popsicle

Nothing in this post is going to be particularly new, but possibly noteworthy to me! These actually came out so long ago and I still haven’t seen them at any grocery stores in NYC 😭 It’s essentially frozen Jello, and that’s the PERFECT texture for me. Do you remember the limited edition Ice Age Popsicles from 2009? 👇
Like the rebirth of dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, life has found a way! As far as I can remember, these have such a similar texture, and maybe even better. Of course they look silly and limp and wiggly, but that’s part of the fun. Flavorwise, the cherry lemon reminds me of Italian ice, and it’s the perfect amount of sour. If you spot these in the freezer aisle, definitely add to your cart!
Spindrift Shirley Temple
$2.99 – Stop & Shop, MA
A little while ago, Spindrift entered the soda game! Is it probiotic? No. Is it sweetened? No. Does it taste pretty much like regular Spindrift? Yeah, pretty much. Spindrift soda is 20% juice, whereas the sparkling water is 6% juice. I think I would buy anything labeled “Shirley Temple” flavored, but I found this to be a little too tart with not enough cherry flavor. I can’t believe the Shirley Temple King himself hasn’t reviewed this yet! Maybe that should tell you everything you need to know…
Liquid Death Killer Cola
$2.99 – Brooklyn, NY
During my tenure at the short-lived “unbiased” news site The Messenger, I made a lil video covering the rise of NA beverage options including Liquid Death. I’m kind of only mentioning that because I think it’s a fun video ☺️ but I really do like Liquid Death as a company & especially their Dead Billionaire arnold palmer! This flavor on the other hand…one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted. It’s straight up bubblegum flavored, I can’t figure out how it passed any taste testing. I want so badly for this to taste good, because it’s not the agave or stevia that’s making it bad, it’s whatever potion of flavors they added. I cannot imagine how bad the Fruity Pebbles flavored seltzer is 🫣
Little Sesame Herby Jalapeno Hummus
$5.99 – Brooklyn, NY
Store bought hummus is never as good as fresh hummus from a restaurant…but this one comes close! This is my first time trying this brand, and I was really into this flavor. It tastes like fresh jalapeno, just a little spicy, and super creamy. And I guess this brand is like climate-friendly? Ok cool!
Maman Papaya Whip Matcha Lemonade
$12 (with tip) – Brooklyn, NY
Sooo this is not from the grocery store and you can’t even buy it anymore if there is a Maman cafe near you…but I had to mention it. This crazy girl costs as much as my rent and I love her. Papaya lemonade + matcha + papaya coconut lime whip?? 🍋🥥 So amazing. Why do cafes get rid of matcha lemonades when summer is over! I drink lemonade all year round! Please let me give you $6-$10 🙏
