Poppi Amaya’s Island Cooler

I’m not going to discuss the obvious. Yes, Poppi did a collab with Love Island USA winner Amaya, affectionately nicknamed by fans Amaya Papaya. So we would of course expect the flavor of this soda to be…piña colada. girl whatever💜
If you love sunscreen or Malibu rum, you will love this soda. And I mean this so seriously, because I like sunscreen flavor. They did not dilute this flavor for the masses by any means. It’s a punch of artificial coconut at first sip, with a hint of pineapple-lime. I will be trying it soon with rum for the full experience (as I suspect it’s intended to be consumed) 🌴
Bloom Pop Shirley Temple

There’s a new prebiotic soda on the shelves from Bloom Nutrition, the makers of energy drinks and all those kinds of superfood powders to make you beautiful/shiny/healthy/strong/full of colostrum. Unlike Poppi & Olipop, this soda doesn’t rely on chicory or cassava root for added fiber (i.e. prebiotics), but instead a proprietary blend of bacteria for gut health. The question I’m always faced with these prebiotic sodas: will it make my stummy hurt? I can confirm that after drinking my first can of Bloom Pop, it did not :-) I love a Shirley Temple, and this soda was super tasty. Very tart and bright and sweet, and no weird aftertaste. And the graphic design is so cute!! 🍒

It’s the question we’ve been asking for years, decades even: When will Ben Stiller release his own soda brand??? The wait is finally over 🙌
If I was involved in the creation of this brand, I would have suggested this name instead: Stiller Sparkling. Get it? Still…or..sparkling ✨ Ben are you hiring??
Genuinely though, I think the branding of this soda is pretty funny – I would do the same thing if I was a rich actor ! There’s 3 flavors currently, and this one tastes really good! It’s not a pre- or pro-biotic soda, it’s just a carbonated beverage sweetened with fruit juice and stevia. It’s going to come down to whether or not you like the taste of stevia, but it’s not super noticeable to me. I’ve tried a few shirley temple sodas at this point, and this one tastes the most “real” – like lemon lime soda and maraschino cherries. And apparently “if you put your ear to a Stiller’s you’ll hear Ben Stiller whispering the ingredient label.”
